From our customers to their projects,
we put people first to deliver outstanding service.
It’s what makes us different. And helps your project succeed.
Training
DocShifter is designed with simplicity at its core, which makes it easy to understand and learn. A single DocShifter expert can remotely train an entire team and get them converting. All in a day.
We’ll provide the helping hands needed to install DocShifter on Microsoft Windows, Linux or within Docker/Kubernetes – and can even connect into your existing systems – showing you how to activate your first conversion workflow before the end of the day. Of course, we’ll be there long after that to support your ongoing digital document transformation.
How training works
We recommend training your team on the technical and business usage components of DocShifter, prior to our configuration workshops. Each session takes 3-5 hours depending on team size. Additional sessions can be run at cost if larger groups of people need to attend.
Upon completion of the sessions, attendees will receive a Completion of Training certificate and will be ready to move into DocShifter’s configuration workshops.
Implementation
To make good software great, you need even better implementation. At DocShifter, we combine our technical expertise with your business experience to implement an approach that works for you.
Whether you’re looking to implement DocShifter yourself, hand it over to us – or work in partnership to share the load – our team implement DocShifter across all types of IT infrastructures and can guide you through any environment. At speed and with ease.
Installation Services
Our engineers install DocShifter’s software into all environments and perform all initial testing. This includes installation, install configuration, and the creation of test workflows to external content sources (including REST API calls).
All we need ahead of time is access to the required infrastructure and confirmation of location preferences (on-premise or cloud).
Configuration Workshops
These workshops plan how the system will be configured and which conversion flows are required, by capturing the setting and logic needed for each use case. Multiple sessions are delivered with different groups to capture all use case settings and ensure effective configuration.
Configuration Services
These services set up, test and implement your final workflows, based on the information from the workshops. DocShifter will create the workflows before testing, fixing and securing the final foundations. Ready to activate your document conversion service.

Is DocShifter available as a true Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform?
No, DocShifter itself does not offer a complete SaaS service today. DocShifter is installed on-premise, in the customer’s cloud, or in his public cloud space. Why is that? Mostly the sheer volume of documents is simply to big to send back and forth over the internet. In addition, privacy is often an important reason for our customers to keep their precious documents close.
If you are interested in a true SaaS platform, running on DocShifter, please leave us a note, we can get you in touch with one of our partners.
How does DocShifter handle confidentiality & security?
We consider confidentiality and security to be a strategic priority within our software. The underlying software dynamics used to convert any document within DocShifter’s environment do not store any data or documents during conversion.
As conversion takes place within your hardware and/or infrastructure, DocShifter has no access to the contents of your documents. We value your privacy and have built DocShifter’s entire suite of solutions to be safe, secure and entirely confidential.
How long does it typically take to implement and use DocShifter?
With the necessary infrastructure and prerequisites in place ahead of time, installing and activating DocShifter can be done in a matter of hours, instead of days.
How does DocShifter's software handle transformation errors?
A number of methods are available for tracking processing errors in DocShifter.
If a job was submitted via web services, any errors or warnings will be returned via the response message for immediate action. Different HTTP status codes are returned depending on the type of issue.
Notifications can also be configured to send alerts via email, SNMP, Webhook or to another database. These can be configured specifically for each workflow created, and different actions deployed, depending on whether it’s a ‘fatal’ or ‘warning’ error.
Error logs feature in the Administration Console for any jobs that have failed, while detailed job logs are also available to provide further detail on the cause of any issue.
Where appropriate, DocShifter’s software will attempt to retry an incomplete job, dependent on the error in question.
Does DocShifter support RESTful API?
Yes. DocShifter fully exposes its functionality via a standard RESTful API.
We work with external consultants. Can they receive DocShifter's training?
Of course. Anyone involved with the installation, management and reporting on DocShifter can join the training. And if you need to set up separate session for external stakeholders, that's fine too.
What are the suggested system requirements to install DocShifter?
DocShifter works with Linux, Windows, Docker/Kubernetes; 32GB RAM, 50GB storage, Java JRE or JDK, and Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio.
